Harlequin Rabbit Breed

Originating in France and first exhibited in Paris in 1887, The Harlequin breed is a little bit different compared to other rabbit breeds, most rabbits are judged by their type while Harlequins are judged based on a color pattern consisting of bars, bands, and splits. Harlequins come in 4 base colors (black, blue, chocolate, and lilac.) These colors will be accompanied by a secondary color (orange on Japanese, and white on magpies.) Harlequins are often confused with some other breeds, due to harlequin also being a color.

We work with all four-color varieties. Though some of our best rabbits are black magpie, we do have a dilute line in the works, and most of our dense colors carry dilute. We keep are harlequins closely, and thoughtfully line bred in order to keep some of the best genetics in the state of PA. We have some amazing show lines, from some very amazing breeders, we have worked closely with over the years to achieve the best marked rabbits.
