New Zealand

The New Zealand is a breed of rabbit which originated in California. New Zealand rabbits are available in five colors recognized by the (ARBA): white, red, black, blue, and broken. Crossbreeding can result in many other variations, such as gold tipped steel and chestnut agouti. New Zealand's are bred for meat, pelts, show, and laboratory uses, being the most commonly used breed of rabbit both for testing and meat production. New Zealand's average 10-12LBS.

We raise New Zealand's for meat. Our only color variety is red, we generally have solid and broken red. We strive for fast growth rates, and winter hardiness. We love this breed not only because they are sweet rabbits, but we love their rich red color!
